The Campeonato Paulista de Futebol, which is better known as Paulistão, is the professional competition of this sport in the state of São Paulo. Organized by the São Paulo Football Federation since 1941. The São Paulo Football Federation is the oldest league in Brazil, and has been held without interruption since 1902. The first champion of the tournament was São Paulo Athletic.
The current champion is Palmeiras, winner of the 2020 edition, when they won their twenty-third title in the competition. In addition to the 23 titles recorded by the Paulista Federation, Palmeiras has two extra titles in the Paulista Championship.
