The Crusaders are the first semi-finalists in the Super Rugby Pacific. As a local, they won smoothly against the Reds 37-15 and wait for the winner of the Chiefs-Waratahs.
The Christchurch team were overwhelming from the scrum and put pressure on all sectors of the pitch with this formation. They were imprecise with the ball, until Richie Mo’unga rubbed the lamp, supported his try and gave his team a lift, which the last 25 minutes were relentless and won comfortably. It was the 12th presentation of Pablo Matera, who added 61 minutes with good offensive participation and four passes in contact. In addition, he was sought after on the line, while on the defensive side he did not have much activity. The Argentine was replaced at 61´, one minute before the injury of Ethan Blackadder, the best player of the season of those led by Scott Robertson.
There will be at least one more weekend following Pablo Matera’s production on Crusaders.
